Kjell Scherpen’s journey has reached the Premier League.

After an outstanding spell with Union Saint-Gilloise, the towering Dutch goalkeeper made the move to Ipswich Town in the summer of 2026, signing a four-year deal as the club returned to England’s top flight.

At 6ft 9in, Scherpen brings a remarkable physical presence to the Premier League. But his arrival is about far more than stature.

It is the latest step in a career built through patience, progression and performance.

A new league. A new stage. The same ambition.
